I'll vouch for QEW as well. I use it for a slightly different reason (apartment complex, expensive wash stalls elsewhere) and it gets the job done. I use 2 buckets to keep the wash bucket clean(er), and it seems to work well. I think a good hose wash is in order once in a while, but if your car's not caked in crap you should be good to go.

I have a method for you, it's called SIUS...

I'm just kidding. It never gets colder than freezing but for maybe three nights out of a year here in Lafayette. Then it's warm and humid the next day.
I still may have to get some QEW though.

I use it all year round. Here's a couple of pics of the porsche in the middle of a QEW session last winter. As you can tell I don't mind using QEW even when it's really dirty.
