Winter car wash, any thoughts?

I also use the $.25 hand sprays about once a week. I'll postpone if it's a little too cold (single digits F) but if it's in the upper teens or mid-20s I'll blow off as much of the salt and crud as I can. I use high pressure (from a distance) for the body, high pressure (a little closer) for the wheels and wells, and the low pressure for the top and windows. I do not use the brush - nothing touches the surface but water. This seems to get most of the severe salt patches off.
I don't bother drying - I choose washes that are just off streets that I can drive quickly on, or just off the highway. Rinse car, get on the highway, go 70mph for a couple of minutes and most of the water is gone. I do prop the hood to let all the water run down, then drop the hood, before leaving the washing bay. I also carry a couple of towels to wipe dry the side view mirrors and the rear window.
