If youre getting a Sebring Top and not CF or Black GO FOR IT.

it looks SOOOOO MUCH CLEANER.
I just tried on a CF c-west top on my silverstone with the windshield tape removed

Either have to paint the top to match or keep the windshield tape on.

I agree, chushi. In this case, the tape would be preferable.

Oh, and Yels2000, IMO the black frame on Spa really looks good.

Yeah I'm not sure yet cause they don't even make the spa hardtops anymore so I might go with black or CF cause i'd like to get one someday. What to do what to do?

Wow, the tape being on/off really makes the car depending on what hardtop color choice you go with

I just got the itch to take mine off after my wash today. About to snap some pics. Will post.

It looks great and there was minimal residue that came off easily with Meguiar's paint cleaner

You guys are most welcome! I've had mine off for years now (when the heck did I post this thread?!?!) and wouldn't go back. I'm glad the more recent models didn't have the scraped paint (prepping, I think, for the tape).

Carson, man, that Laguna looks way better sans tape. I always wanted to get the car in the original blue that was only available overseas, but Laguna without tape is tempting. (not that I have any objections to my Suzuka after all these years! )

Hey guys,
Buddy of mine and I decided to remove the tape yesterday. He has a Dodge Ram that he had completely stripped of all badges and stickers so we felt pretty confident going in that we could handle the job. I document the process every step of the way with pictures in case you guys have any questions or are looking for a side by side comparison of the car with tape/no tape.

I do have to say that the job was VERY easy as the tape didn’t rip once. There were a few areas where some adhesive was left on but that was mainly due to pulling the tape too fast.

Hit me up with any questions, if you need the video, or if you are looking for more pictures.

Nice, Hannibal. Impressive that it came off easily since it's been on there for 5 years! Enjoy being tapeless.
