Windshield Scratch
I've got a scratch on my SUV's windshield. It seems it is related to a bad windshield wiper arm that made contact with the glass. Any idea on how to get rid of this?
Thanks

Thats too bad, I have the same problem with my honda accord due to old wiper blades. I went to a auto glass shop and they told me that it will cost me more for the labor buffing it than replacing it with a brand new windsheild. Due to my frustrations, i ended up trading the car.
You can check with your local auto glass store. Good luck..

yup, glass can be buffed out- but it is such a difficult process (to get it back to clear) that it becomes more expensive than replacement usually.
it does depend on how deep the scratch is. i have buffed out lotsa very small scratches (more like swirl marks in glass- i used glass polishes with a porter cable for those), but have not had any luck with deeper ones.

What state do you live in? I live in Florida and we get 2 free windshields a year I think if you have full coverage. I have some tiny marks on my windshield, I'm getting me a new one. ;o)
