Default Will Meguiar's shamp. & conditioner seal paint?

Hi. I just got a new paint job and the body shop told me not to wax the paint for 90 days to let the new paint gas out. However, they said it was okay to wash the car. I would like to use my current Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo and conditioner. Will this product seal the paint in any way? I am concerned about the "conditioner" content of this shampoo; whether or not this will seal the paint.

might be o.k., but i am not able to determine for sure what the conditioners have in them...

most modern shampoos have some sort of conditioners (to allow for sudsing action and to keep from evaporating too quickly)- i will see if i can find one that is more "plain"

top of the line's brand seems to be safe, as far as i can tell:

it is not likely that any conditioner will seal your paint- i am being overly cautious. your megs shampoo is probably fine. the conditioners are likely just to float up dirt from the car surface and to keep the car from drying- the reason that i hesitate at all is that i can not find anything that tells me for sure one way or the other.

for your car to gas out, it just needs to have nothing sealing the paint pores-

In my experiences with using Gold Class, I've never found that it leaves any type of waxy residue behind. You should be fine

Try finding out what the body shop used to wash off your car. Most shops will wash off the car prior to pick up.

Find out what paint and clear they used and call the manufacturer. 9 times out of 10 the body shop guys just quote some BS number. 90 days with new paints seems like a loooong time
