I was wondering why everyone on this board uses Zaino, or recommends Zaino products for detailing their cars. Is this stuff really that good? I've always used Meguire's stuff because it wasn't too expensive and did a pretty good job. I had always thought Zymol was the God of all detail products. I had never even heard of Zaino before I joined these boards. Just wanted to know why you guys all like it so much and if you could tell me which of their products to get (i.e., do they have different grade levels, etc.).

Everybody has their own favorite. I use Liquid Glass wash then Pinnacle paint cleansing lotion (polish)when needed then Liquid Glass (seal) and Souveran Carnuba (wax). You could use Blitz Wax at about 1/4 cost of the Souveran. Find what you like to use and what works for you.

I used FinishFirstPolish last year. Only 2 applications, and mine was ready for showroom display...

I think Finish First and Liquid Glass are either the same product or very close kissing cousins.

To be honest, I have never had a car before the Stook worth detailing to obsession. However, due to the high recommendations of this board, I started from day-1 using Zaino. It goes on easy, and shines like a million dollars. I have waxed cars in the past and found it to be a real pain in the butt. Zaino is just the opposite. It is quality time spent with the car, sliding the applicator over all of her lines. Wait a bit, then take a dry all-cotton baby diaper to remove the haze. You will be amazed! I have put several coats on. My friends like to put their damn hands all over the car because it feels so smooth. Im still dreaming ways to punish them for this.

In short, get the stuff. Yea, it's a little expensive but well worth it. You'll see.

I agree, NO DIAPER! use a miracle cloth or 100% cotton terry. A diaper is too dense and if there's anything still on your paint it can pick it up and cause scratches.

I heard from someone that Zaino is the wax/polish of choice for Viper Club of America people. So many Viper owners use it too

The Zaino products are great:

Sorry about the big pic (obviously NOT taken in '94 also)
