I've heard that you can use an aluminum polish like Mother's on the plastic rear window to remove scratches. I believe Honda even recommends this in one of their TSBs.
Anyone else done this?
Is a special applicator pad required or does this come with the polish itself?

I used a metal polish on mine a couple of times--although I didnt think it did any help. I just used an old cotton rag to apply it. You can use Rain-X as a polish on the rear window as well. Or at least if you read the back of the Rain-X bottle, it says it is safe to use on clear plastic.

Here's a link to the TSB that recommends using a metal polish to remove scratches from the rear window:

I used "Never Dull" on mine just last week.
I bought my S2K used and it appeared the window had never been cleaned. I had a very hard line on the window where it folds along w/ scratches. My window was also very cloudy. I tried just the 303 and it was like a smokers window, everything just kept smearing. So I broke out the "ND" and voila it took most everything right off!! My problem was the next day I could see the swirl marks in the plastic from the polish, even after going over it w/ 303 twice. So I took some water and a towel to it and it looked a bit better, but I was still skeptical and a tad worried I may of just made things worse. Although one car wash later(along w/ another application of 303 inside and out) and the window has cleared up pretty well. I still can see faint circles from where I used the polish in a circular motion, but my window has gone from horrible to pretty damn good!
One thing I will point out that made me a bit standoffish is that "ND" does contain petroleum distillates, which are bad for plastic and vinyl. Also in the wadding for "ND" there are some abrasive materials of some sort...
So I would like to see a can of Honda Metal cleaner and what it contains.
So did it help, yes , is "Never Dull" the right one to use?
I wish I would have taken a before picture...

One thing for sure is that there is more than one of anything to use for any job.
But when possible also find out how to use, apply and remove these products because it will make a difference.
The procedure "TSB 00-037" listed above by ALLKINGZ is very helpful to come up with excellent results. I know! The results were clear.
