When to Zaino-ify a new S2k?
Hello there! My new '03 silver/black s2k just came in (traded up from my '01) and I have a general question about washing and waxing. I plan to use Zaino as I did with my '01 (works grrrrrrrrRRREAT!). The gent in service at the Honda dealer is telling me not to apply wax for a month to allow the finish to aerate first. Has anyone heard of this? Does it apply more to carnuba based waxes? Is Zaino ok to use right away, or do I really need to wait? Any input would be appreciated.

I Zainoed mine right after I got it. I did not have the dealer detail the car, I took the shipping film off myself (at the dealership) and the dealer actually put my S2000 on a flatbed and delivered it to my home.
Once there, it was basically driven up the driveway into the garage washed, claybared and Zainoed with less than 20 meters on it .
So, imo, do it asap!

wanabe is right, the paint has been during while on the boat and on the train. If you really want, you can find out the build date of your car and feel more confident that you've had adequate time.
IMHO, I think the carnauba would actually be safer to apply earlier, because it allows the paint to "breathe" whereas the Zaino is more like a hard candy shell.

good point above... maybe too late now,
but if you can tell the dealer not to even wash the car-
(to try to avoid swirls that dealer washes are famous for).
it wont be pretty (will be dirty), but it will give you a chance to really "bond" with your car when you get it home!!
