Default Wheel well cleaning

hey guys, well I noticed my wheel wells were getting really dirty so I decided to take some tire sidewall cleaner foam stuff and spray under there and hope for the best. Anyway they look all dry and nasty still, what can I put on them to bring the black back?? TIA

check out our wheel cleaning thread...
to really clean the wheels, you gotta drop em off the car-

and thats the easiest way to get the wheel wells too!!
a long handled brush and car shampoo or an all in one cleaner will do pretty much what you need... and if you need more, i like p21s wheel cleaner (yup i know you are cleaning the well not the wheels, but it works)- only if you got really bad stuff in there do you need to go more aggresive.
most aggressive is an acid based cleaner- but i dont like using those, and especially not on brake hoses, etc. (you can, but make sure that they are rinsed first and are still wet when you use the cleaner- and do not let it dry)

from our how tos at the top of our board...

I use either a dedicated tire cleaner or degreaser and an old wash mitt for my wheel wells. I then coat them with CD2 afterwards (you can buy this stuff from amazon.com). Makes them look like new and CD2 does a great job repelling dust/dirt

Try some mechanic's hand cleaner. It should do the same job on the fender wells as it does for your hands.
Goop it on, rub it in, blast it off with a hose.
