Fark... :-(
Is there any way to get rid of it? Can i spray WD-40 or something on it, and then use a metal brush to scratch off at least the noticable parts? While not very noticible if you look straight at the wheel, if you look down from an angle, you can see the rust/oxidization on the side of the brake discs :-(
I thought these were made of stainless steel????? or better??

Ouch. So I guess I'm not the only one that sees rust on the rotors?
How about people with those aftermarket slotted rotors and stuff? They look real silver and shiny and don't look like rusting at all :-(
Is it that the Honda OEM ones are just cheapy?

I've recently spray painted my rotors after they started oxidizing. It looked a lot better! I used black high-temp paint. I've seen cross drilled/slotted rotors for sale, that were zinc coated that aren't suppose to rust, but my only have 17K miles on mine, so I hate to buy new ones already.

I've only got 11K on mine and they've already started rusting on the edges.
How do you use paint to paint the rotors? Did you sort of move the wheels till they revealed the rotors easily, then paint them that way? Or completely remove the wheel and just paint it on?

I painted the calipers and the rotors. But don't paint where the brake pad touches the rotor!! [obviously!!!!] Yes, take the wheel off, prep & clean, mask off anything you don't want paint on, and spray with hi-temp black. You can also paint certain parts of your suspension. It looks a whole lot better than surface rust!!!
