What's the current favorite on wheel cleaners?
My wheels are starting to pick up some road tar from the increasing summer temperatures and it is hell to clean off
I am also curious as to what the best products are - in people's opinions - because I've got a few shows coming up.
Thanks

you need a non-acid based wheel cleaner...
several out there.
p21s makes one, and a few other good ones-

sonus:

best way to do this is to take your wheels off the car, especially if its goin in a show.
more tips:

stubborn tar (i have not used this on wheels, but it should be o.k. since its safe on paint):

what mike said. i use p21 about once every other month. otherwise, i use a soft wheel brush and sponge and clean them first with soap and water and then last with just a spray bottle of water and paper towels to detail them, both on the outside and inside.

Thanks Mike!
wortham - I usually just use water and soap, but my new wheels are really growing attached to this friggin tar, and the old way isn't cutting it anymore.
I'll be pulling a bit more off than the wheels for show cleans

Most wheels cleaners won't remove tar. You need a tar remover. Stoners Tarminator is safe with clearcoats and painted wheels. I've never had a problem. For weekly brake dust/dirt removal I use #36 from Meg's because it is gentle and recommended by many top end wheel manufacturers.
