what to use if i hate waxing/detailing?
hey guys, i hate spending time waxing or polishing on weekends, takes too long and more often i dont see any diff b4 and after when car is clean after a good wash. i wash my car often.
i get my car completely detailed at a detail shop once a year (10 hr job), and wonder what is the best and absolutely easiest polish/wax product to use after each wash? something that wont take much time and little effort, kinda like a spray on, wipe off thing? does it exist?

imo, the closest you will likely get to a decent paint (clearcoat) protection with minimal effort is p21s...
http://store.yahoo.com/autopia/p21-127.html
wash your car, wipe p21s on in small sections and immediately wipe it off.
thats all there is to it!
and you dont need to do this each time you wash, just about once a month or so...
until you decide to protect the interior which needs to be protected to keep the leather from cracking and the vinyl... and you might want to clean the wheels- and remove the swirls from your paint. but first thing is first and the above is the answer to your question!

I agree, NXT has served me quite well lately, and you don't have to apply it every time you wash, just once every month or month and a half. Takes me about 1/2 hour - 45 min to wax the car.
Unless you wash with Dawn each time your waxing each time is really overkill.
Your typical Saturday morning should be a full wash (or maybe even just detail spray if you have a garage and your car's not filthy), including wheels, wheel wells, and door jambs, clean interior, condition leather, and go out to enjoy your convertible

tkeedy, Dawn will do nothing to strip NXT as its a synthethic - Dawn has one of the highest levels of PH so it it used to strip carnuba but it has no other benifits as a car wash than say an any other wash

Interesting, I guess my experience with Dawn is way back when all I used was carnuba, and I couldn't figure out to save me why my wax jobs went away so quickly
(I don't use the stuff any more, was making a point, but thanks for the new info)
