Default What removes Zaino?

It's not that I'm unhappy with Zaino. I'm not. I love it. I just minorly screwed up the application -- I think.

I used the FieldCrest Cotton towels that Zaino Recommends and that Bed, Bath, and Beyond had on clearance for $5 each. Problem is, I didn't wash them first.

It looked fine while I was using them, and even from looking at it like anyone else would, but when I drive, or look from hood level, I clearly have all sorts of white cotton lint on my car.

I'm pretty sure some of the lint is embedded between coats of Z.

So How do I redo this? (I keep hearing that Dawn won't take Zaino off).

Just wash your car with Zaino (Z-7, I believe). The "layers" aren't like clearcoat - the lint will come right out. If that doesn't do the trick, try something like using Z-6 with some clean towel action.

Tx.

But what if I want to go back and clay it in the future though? Do I need to wait until the Z comes off all by itself??

Naw, you don't need to worry about that. Just wash your car very well before you clay, regardless of what's on the car. Just to be safe, I would probably use Z-1 again before putting on another coat of Z-2 or Z-5...unless, of course, you have ZFX.

If you need or want to remove all Zaino the only way is to use isopropyl alcohol.

Yup...that, or don't wash or polish the car for about a year.

weird . ..
see, if you wiped the car dry and there was lint, applying the zaino with an applicator should have pulled the lint off the car as you were applying it - theory being that the lint will be grabbed by the moistened applicator.

if it is really there - well, i wouldnt take off the zaino, just some regular washing should free them as you go along. if they are still there after the next wash and dry - dont layer more zaino on there -

It's moot.

The first day after, I thought it was lint from the towels.

The 2nd day it looked worse to me, I then thought I just hadn't removed the Z-2 completely or used to much Z-6.

Now, it's even worse. It wasn't my doing. It's dust/pollen. Not so thick as it was in tree romperoom season, but it is there.

I didn't notice this before I zaino'd. Is it that the car is attracting it, or is now so shiny it's obvious where it wasn't before??

FWIW, the S is kept in a garage at night.

thats one of the unfortunate side-effects of zaino

the car is so damned reflective that you see things that you couldnt see before - things like spider webbing, micro-swirls, stuff that lands on the car . .
