You could experiment a little with some of the Teflon products.
Theoretically, it should be better than wax but real world use could prove otherwise.
Even if a Teflon product did affer more protection but had to be applied twice as often as wax, the benefits could be minimal or non-existant.
The best test might be an application to the inside of the rim since most people are probably cleaning their wheels with every weekly wash.
Apply wax to the inside rim of two wheels and apply Teflon to the inside rim of the other two. In a couple of months you may have an answer.

The first thing I did was get rid of the AP2 pads and I went with the AP1 pads.

I reduced brake dust by at LEAST 75%.

With the AP2 pads, if I washed the car on a Monday, 3 days later by Thursday they would have dust all over them.

With the AP1 pads, over two weeks went by and my wheels still looked clean but obviosly not as clean as the day they were washed.

Oh yea, go with a synthetic wax.

The "Teflon" sold in stores is nothing like the real Teflon... It's a MAJOR process to produce and have the benifits of Teflon.

I take it you guys are refering to the Teflon used in cooking pans??
