What Prepping is Needed When Switching to Ceramic Wax?
Sorry as I am sure this was brought up a gazillion times already but I want to do it right first time around. I am not all that up on waxes and polishes as of late and could use a couple of good pointers or please lead me to a good thread or link. Thanks in advance.

I use 303 touch-less sealant ceramic sealer. I called the company with this very question. i told them that my cars had been treated only to polish and light wax, and the finish wasn’t scratchy. Under those circumstances, I was told to wash the car and I was ready to apply this product in a spray with the rinse water, and dry the car. It worked well. But this advise applies only to the 303 product. Other ceramics may require different prep.

I would start with the smoothest, cleanest surface possible. I have linked to Griot's Garage products as they tend to be easy to use and are fairly priced in my mind.
