Default What kind of buffer to get and other paint correction questions.

So my paint has a bunch of swirl marks. I was thinking of getting a buffer and learning how to use it and removing the swirls. What kind of buffer should I get thats pretty cheap. Are those 30$ autozone ones any good? And besides a buffer what other stuff should I buy?

not sure you are talking about these....http://www.xttools.com/images/8_3.jpg
but if so, thats like asking whats the difference between a Kia and S2000.
you will get all the proper cutting speeds you need with the porter cable as well as the piece of mind you cant really burn your paint with it, the motor is friction enabled(the more pressure you add, the motor will stop turning)

I would recommend the Griot's Random Orbital Polisher.

Should I get a 6 inch or a 10 inch? What are the differences? Besides the size of course.

I got myself an ATD buffer and I was impressed by the results, brought out the shine on my paint ! And I only paid 50 for it (open box item) but brand new they don't go for much ...

just get a DA buffer its made for beginners so theres really no way of ruining your car and use a compound. Porter cable, meguiars, griots all make them, its just preference.
