Default what do you use to take off wheel weight residue?

what do you use to remove the sticky stuff that used to hold the wheel balancing weights on? when a shop takes them off, they just kind of rip them off and there's a lot left stuck on the wheel. any advice would be appreciated . i've just kinda been scrubbing at it with car wash soap and credit cards lol. thanks

WD40 works very well. Just recently went through the same cleaning process and WD40 worked great.

Get a good absorbent rag and soak it with WD40. Then let the rag sit on the glue for awhile. Then the glue scrapes off very easily. After go back and clean the WD40 residue off and wax.

WD-40, Naptha (lighter fluid), thumbnail. All work, some faster than others.

If not, maybe a solvent like Stoners Tarminator?

for glue i just use paint thinner or gas. it wont damage the clear unless you leave it on for too long unless you are rubbing it for an extended period of time.

goo gone and a plastic razor blade will do the trick. let the goo gone sook in for a while, then scrape pf with the plastic razor blade. make sure to clean the are well afterwards, then apply some wax to help repel some of the brake dust.

Xenit works well on most adhesives and has a pleasant citrus odor.
