I just got my car repainted and the top is covered with a lot of dusy and water alone will not get it off. What do you guys use to clean your tops?

Yes, get the cleaner and the protectant both.
If you're like me, you'll use a lot more protectant than cleaner.
I bought the stronger "rolloff" cleaner as well, but never found a use for it beyond cleaning built-up protectant from the sidewalls of tires.
Proper auto care has a nice website, but I found another place with better pricing. http://www.nealsharbor.com/

try using a shop-vac first and vacuum the roof then cleaning the roof with said cleaners, you may get weird looks from your neighbors but it works great.

The top is vinyl.
For a good cleaning, I would use Porsche top cleaner and a sponge with a scratchy side. The Porsche cleaner is gentle enough that you can wash the rest of your car so you don't waste it.
The Porsche cleaner works like a champ and leaves the top nice and black. When you are done drying the car add a coat of 303 Aerospace Protectant. It will leave the top deep black and silky looking without an Armorall shine.

Well, to start with:
What got on your top when the car was painted? Was it OK before? Makes a big difference if we know what "enemy" we are fighting here. Let us know.
Thanks,
Richard
