Default Went to the Harly dealership

Picked up a little S100 today at lunch for $16.99 including tax. I'm looking forward to using it on the S, but unfortunately I'm heading to Boston tomorrow for a wedding so I won't be able to get to my baby for a couple days.

Here is what I plan on doing, so any tips / recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I have a random orbital buffer (I know, I know, I need to get a PC) that I can use to apply/remove the wax, or I can use an applicator followed by a MF.

-Wash with Meguiars NXT (or should I use dish soap?)
-Clay bar with Clay Magic & Clay Magic claying lubricant (or is water just as good?)
-Wash with Meguiars NXT
-Meguiars Scratch X
-Eagle One nano wax (or is this overkill? I could remove this and put in Meguiars liquid clear coat polish)
-S100 X 2

I also have some Meguiars Hi-Tech Yellow Wax paste, but I think the S100 replaces it?

Also I've read that you need to let the S100 glaze for a bit, but how long do you leave it on? I thought I read some people leaving it on for hours, and others removing it as soon as they are finished with the section they are doing. Can you guys shed some light? When I'm finished, I'll be sure to post some pics and hopefully become badge worthy! TIA!

Most of what you have listed is good. You don't have to wash after claying, and use the lube provided with the clay. 1 coat of S100 is good, as I have done something similar to you, and I do have the s100. It comes with its own applicator pad, which is nice and soft. I let it sit on there for only a few minutes (usually long enough to smoke a cig) then I wipe it off with a MF towel.

Good luck, and post up some pics when you are done

ps. Don't use dish soap unless you absolutely have to, and try not to use it on your top

X 1 will be just fine, you are wasting it with 2 applications.

Oh, for the dish soap, only use it if you want to strip off anything you've previously applied to the finish. Otherwise just use the Megs shampoo.

Thanks guys, taking a few steps out of it will save some time!!

Now should I use the Eagle One nano wax or the Meguiars clear coat polish? Either will probably do just fine. I assume the nano wax will help fill any left over swirrils with the so called "nano technology." haha

Thanks for the input!
