Default Waxing a brand new 06......

hey guys, have had my 06 for a few days now. before i get back on the road to head to virginia beach, i would like to throw some wax on it, most likely gold glass. i'm not sure though if this is a good idea. does honda say anywhere not to wax a new car for a certain time period, or is this something i should get on right away. thanks guys!

pete-
welcome to the board!
you should absolutely protect it asap...
(the only time you need to wait with new paint is when you have a repaint- yours is already well cured when you got the car)
wash, then feel it with the backs of your fingers- if its smooth as a baby, its ready for wax. if not, it would appreciate clay first.

if you get a chance to take some pics of your washing/waxing, post em up and then pm me for a shiny new badge to put at the bottom of your posts!

dre is right. If you can afford it, I'd highly recommend some sort of clear bra. It will do wonders to protect the front end and other areas that regularly take a lot of abuse.

Make sure you prepare the paint with a good cleanser before waxing as waxing on its own wont be much good.
