Default Waxing...

How frequently can I wax my car... usually, if I just wash it, I feel like I'm not done... so I always dry the car, wash the wheels, polish the rims, and then wax my car, but I heard it was bad to wax the car every weekend.

no way dude!!
you cant overwax it...
worst case is if you have a light colored car and the wax starts to yellow, you just remove it and start over- but this isnt something you need to worry about.
wax it as often as you want, and you will have a great shine always!
(you will need to polish every once in awhile- and when you do that will remove all of the wax anyway)

btw, good article for you:

You can wax it all the time... Once a month is more than enough, even for the most finnicky owners. If you like to put the time in, try a clay bar with wax after. You can even clay bar the wheels and lens covers.

Instead of waxing the car all the time, try getting into more detail after each wash. Spend some time waxing the engine compartment and detailing the engine. Then after that, move onto the undercarriage, etc...

Wax away! No harm done. Like wanabe said, the worst that can happen is yellowing, but that's easily remedied. I use just about any excuse to wax my car. My only problem is that the newer waxes out there last too damn long and I feel bad about removing the old wax before it's fully used up. But I can't help myself... I need help.

Awesome... Any good polish recommendations?

ohh... and let me get the order strait...

- rinse car
- wash car
- rinse
- dry (shammy/cloth)
- clay bar/ polish (rims & paint)
- wax
- buff, stare, do hair while looking at door panel, take pictures, leave in garage

(I took good care of my last car, but I bought an 03 s2000 2 weeks ago and all I have been wanting to do is clean!)

do you really need to polish yet?

and i would use big blue for drying- this recommendation is over any other product by a long shot!
you dont have to dry after washing before claying... although most of us do.
you do need a lubricant for the clay- i use a detailers spray.
and i wash after the clay too.

if you want to spend more time, i would insert zaino before the wax...

make sure you do a good job with the interior protection- leather and vinyl and a good job on the wheels- they like wax too... as they also are clear coated.
