Default wax on fresh paint/ wait time discussion

how long do you have to wait after you got ur bumper or body parts painted? some say a week, some say a month cuz it will dull the paint.

assuming if in hot summer days, a week should be good?

main while the paint is just being unprotected... in that case what do u guys do to protect it?

what happends IF YOU ACCIDENTLY waxed on a fresh paint, any remedy ?

how good are the flexablilty on repainted paint job? like bumper wise, or say if you have a scratch on it, will it start peeling. in another word, how do u know what is good paint being used/ vs maccro paint.

thanks.

depends on the process that they used... ask them what they recommend.

in any case, 30 days should allow cure time for just about any procedure.
if you wax before its cured you can discolor the car. if you wax too soon, you trap solvents that need to evaporate.

it's buffed with polish if they do it right

i wouldn't even wash it for the first week, a month you should be safe to wax.

if you already added wax, not sure will it help but you can stripe wax by using dish washer. NOT sure will it help if you already done the damage but yeah.

there's no way to tell now, remeber 90% of a good paint job is not the paint, it's the prep.

if they didn't use the right stuff and right step, it's gonna suck.

for example for abs/urtherane part, the painter need to sand down the surface and use flexible paint promoter, there's du pont paint that already have those material in those.

if they just shoot it with regular paint without adding "flex", well, it
's gonna chip very easy
