dont have one... but i would protect it just as i would any other part of the car- prob would prefer synthetic on it to avoid "yellowing"-
one benefit would be that it would help to "bead" rain- and i think it is a good idea to protect it anyway.
i understand that you can use plexus or your car shampoo to clean it- then use a good synthetic (zaino would work)
