My TDS meter came in today .... water from the tap is about 480ppm... the water from the DI tank is about 10 ppm....

I think that is pretty significant...

that does sound good. I know there's at least one company out there that sells DI systems specifically marketed to the detailing community and folks like us W&W wackos... Now if I could just remember the name...

ahh.. found them...

they have different size filters and replacement resin...

looks like for most of us the medium rolling system would be ideal... ~100 gal/filter set...

Replacement resin needed depends on how hard the water is, but are $60/set. Not cheap!
