vinegar might work on both problems...
and would certainly be my first step on the first one-
asap cause the water spots can etch

You think vinegar will also de-fog the headlights? I've never had to defod headlights before and your help is greatly appreciated.
always try anything on a small area first.
vinegar is easy to try and most folks have it already-
plexus is good stuff too...
if it doesnt work, i like the powerball and plastx for hard to clear lenses...
we have posts on this so i will try to find one for you- several other choices for products... always go least aggressive first
vinegar in small area first
plexus next
then if still not better, you will need a plastic polish
from our how tos sticky at the top of our board... the how to clear headlights with plastx:

What about using Ultimate Quick Detailer on the water spots? Worked pretty well for me when I missed drying some spots on my car.
was answering the above while walking-
and i agree completely, a detail spray is very unaggressive and a great suggestion- could try it first (dust the car with a duster first- do not put any pressure- its a pure light touch on the car type dusting)
