Have you tried water mixed with vinegar? Use the clear ones and not balsamic.

i would use straight vinegar (only on easy to remove water spots that are pretty new would i cut the vinegar)... just know that it will likely remove wax from the car paint. rinse really well when finished. i always wet the paint first.
did you use glass polish with a machine? forget doing it by hand... wont work.

ok, this is going to sound odd but it works for me. I have maguiar's plastX for my headlights. Its a mild abrasive an I have used it to great success to get the hard water spots off my back window and side view mirrors. Works like a charm. Be very careful near paint and use at your own risk.

I bought some PlastX for my headlights but didn't think about using it on glass. I'll give it a try.

I'll give it a try. I did not use a machine with the glass polish so I will try that as well. Thanks for the great tips.

when I worked at the dealership we would wet the car down with it inside and then spray the wheel acid on the windows and rub it with a wash mit. This would take the spots off the windows but it does remove the wax from the paint and you have to work fast. having to do it a few times is better than letting the acid sit to long. I wouldn't do this unless its the last ditch effort to restore your glass. I never had a problem doing it but I don't know if you can get the same stuff I had we called it AC acid but I don't know if that's the brand name we got our stuff from Car Chem and they only sell to bis in the St Louis area. thats the only way I was ever able to remove the real bad water spots.

You could try 1Z glaspolish or Autoglym Glass Polish.

If you decide to machine the glass, make sure you don't get the glass too hot, or it could distort it and it will never be the same.

Here's a couple links to products you could try:

1Z glaspolish

Glass Polishing Kit

Autoglym Glass Polish

Hope this helps you out Ray!!
