Water Spots

Water Spots
Well I park my car in a community parking lot and unfortunately the sprinklers are now watering my car every night instead of the plants, and this is leaving nasty water spots on my car, my question is other than the hideousness of them do they harm the paint job, thanks alot for the info

use a detailers spray to get them off if your car is fairly clean. if not, wash it then use the detailers spray.
if that doesnt get it, let us know and we will give you the vinegar recipe- which only works if the spots have not etched badly.

I am going to have to go buy a 20 gallon jug of detailers spray and hope that i have not already let damage occur on my car, thanks for the info

Well after a car wash and much detail spray there are clearly water spots, It seems that i may have to use the vinegar method but at this point i feel ike giving up, a black car as a daily driver is turning out to be Disasterous.......... white is the way to go, it looks like i have the new black with snow color paint job which fades to water spots WOOOOOOOWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEe , alright end of rant sorry fo rthose of you who read it

Dont give up ! Obviously your going to need to start from scratch.
Go with a clay process, polish, and seal....If you still see h2o after the polish, hit it with the vinegar. Its ok to use full strength, heres how you do it. Get a roll of paper towels, and white vinegar, and a spray bottle. Lightly mist the areas of concern, then cover with the paper towels, you dont need to use a whole peice, just a peice big enough to cover the area of concern. The misted area will be absorbed by the paper towel. Let it remain in tact for 20 minutes, keep the area wet with frequent misting if need be.
At a minimum, this will soften the mineral deposits. Wipe area clean with a microfiber. If there are still spots, repolish. Then seal. The vinegar will remove any previously applied wax, so you must reseal.
