Default Washing vented CF hoods??

I am having a hard time with my new Js racing style CF hood with the rain and when I wash it. You see, im off at college and my poor car has to sleep outside under a car cover . It's not that bad, but in really hard rain storms water gets into the air box, and same with washing the car. I have been putting a towel under the hood where the vent is and that works, but only when I was the car, I cant leave it there when im driving. Has anyone done anything regarding this problem.
Thanks,
Kyle

the detail solution for any car with scoops or air intakes in the hood is the same...
the one you are using! (stuffing plastic bags, or rags in the opening when washing).

not sure what to do when you are driving in the rain...
