I use one for upper panels and one for bottom/wheels, but since the sheepskin mitts release dirt so well, it is almost impossible to determine which mitt was used for the dirty lower panels after doing a good rinse. Now that's quality.

Well yesterday I went to walmart and all they had was crap. I think I might just order one from Griot's garge and be done with it.

Whoa! Let's not get crazy here. Seriously though, Griot's prices are pretty inflated. $17 for a sheep skin mitt is pretty high. Unfortunately, the quality of sheepskin mitts no matter where you get them from is pretty inconsistent which is why it's a good idea to buy them locally where you can feel them. Try some local auto parts stores and if that doesn't work buy from bettercarcare.com, autogeek.net, or another on-line supplier that has reasonable prices.

If you have more than one near you, check them out. I found wal-mart is horrible at keeping things on the shelves =p One will have 30 of them and another will have 1.

Just an FYI:

I bought Autogeek's "top of the line" sheepskin mitt ($15), and it's already starting to fall apart on me after 3 washes.

As others have said, just visit your local Wal-Mart, Target or auto store and pick up a cheap one there. Probably just as good...if not better.

I bought a sheepskin mitt from Autogeek for $15 as well. I think I did it at the beginnnig of the summer. It looks EXACTLY like the mitts you get in Wal-Mart for $7.

All I know is I think I'm done with sheepskin mitts. Next I think I'm giving one of these a try . . .

I got my best mitts from Excel Detail. They are the "pick of the litter" so to speak. I believe Patrick goes through and sorts out the good ones, the better and the best. AND they're very reasonably priced ($7.49 for "heavy" mitts and 3/$15 for his austrailian mitts).

I just ordered one of those as well... I'm hoping it'll cause less swirling on my black paint... it's annoying when you go through a full polish and everything looks beautiful only to see swirls slowly but surely returning after multiple washings =(.
I've already upgraded from the 2 bucket system to a grit guard system.
