So what's the verdict about water temperature?

Is hot water bad for towels?
Will using cold water still remove all the products left in the towels and such?

hot water is fine. i've tried cold and warm water, i like to use warm water to get the towels a bit cleaner

any detergent will work as long as there are no fabric softeners correct?
