Default Washing engine bay

Can you please tell me if i have to pay extra attension in my engine bay if i want to wash it having a Comptech SC?

Any paricular parts of the SC which i have to cover up to protect them or not to come in contact with water at all?

Thanks
Chris

you should be fine as long as you dont force water into any parts-
covering the air intake would not hurt.

after you wash and dry the engine, drive the car around the block (dont heat the engine too hot at first) to get the excess water out. i then open the hood, let it cool a bit and hit any water that i see.

btw, check out our engine cleaning thread in our how tos... some good tips in there too.
and get pics of your process if you can- hey we love pics on this board!

An electric leaf blower is another very effective way to dry off a freshly cleaned engine. Once I started doing it this way, I never went back to drying by hand.

Thank you for your reply I have read the engine cleaning thread many times I just wanted to know if i have to be extra carefull with the SC or which parts of the kit i should cover up if there are any. Definately intake should be covered since is more exposed I don't know about other parts

Thanks
Chris
