Just FYI,
The fantastik cleaner that you're suppose to use is NOT the same as the stuff you buy in the grocery store. You're suppose to use a cleaner that costs about $14.00/bottle and are only suppose to use 2 capfuls, like wanabe said.
Here's a link to the fantastick stuff that you're suppose to use on the cover.

Hmmm. I checked out the site, MarkS2K. Looks like the same stuff as the supermarket, just a bigger bottle.
As for the two capfuls vs. two cups, I think Dario was quoting from the Honda instructions.
IMHO, two capfuls seems an awfully small amount for such a large cover. Even if you spot-sprayed it on the cover instead of doing a full-blown wash, you'd probably use more than that.
In any case, I used two cups and it seemed to work okay.
Dario, if you can provide clarification for others (and for my next wash), that would be great!

i know that we discussed this in a long thread in late 2000... and also remember that we concluded that some folks were buying the wrong fantastic- the concentrated one is very expensive, as marks2k indicated, and 2 cups would be way too much- i thought that someone contacted the company to get the answer- this thread was lost long ago, unfortunately.
i have used 2 caps, not 2 cups, for the past couple of years and my cover always gets clean as new... as i also posted above, i also use 1 to 2 caps to clean the rags that i use to detail and they are clean as new afterwards too- seems to me that if it should be 2 cups and i used 2 caps the rags would not have been cleaned.
