Washing detail cloths/pads

Washing detail cloths/pads
I am really bad about just getting rid of my microfiber cloths after one detail, they just get so dirty, and never seem quite as soft. After leaving a huge wax ring around the washer my wife has forbid me from using the washer to clean them. So my questions are what are your suggestions on what to use and how to clean my cloths/pads, given that I cannot use a washer??

here's what i would do , add some vinegar into the rinse process that should clean and keep your towels soft
don't mix your drying towels with waxed towels into one batch, separate them and that should keep your drying towels softer and "decontaminated"
i dont have too many luck with cleaning wax off the pads or towels either so what i do is i just keep them separated from my regular batches and use them when i use that particular wax/sealant.
if you cant use the washer anymore, just pour super hot water and soak your waxed pads and towels in it, that should help to lift some of the wax off.
hope this helps!

kinda what i do too...
and i use one of several mf cleaning products (shampoo type) also
i do an extra rinse, which is where i use the vinegar- and after its all over i get an old cotton rag and wipe out the washing machine. i know its a pia, but its better than going to a public laundromat!!
finally, i dry on no heat setting
they are as good as new after that process

To clean your MF towels:
I wash my MF towels with Micro-Restore. Warm wash and warm rinse. I also use the double rinse cycle. Dry on low heat or hang to air dry. Do no use and fabric softener or fabric sheets.
To clean pads:
I use DP polishing pad rejuvinator. I add one scoop into a five gallon bucket and fill with warm water. Add the pads. Let them soak for an hour or so, take the pads out, rinse them clean with cool water ( I use my hands to clean of any excess product left), wring them out and put them on a drying rack, velcro side facing up.
The black ring in your washer can be wiped out with paper towels. Just do it right after you take the towels out. It wont hurt anything.
