Default Washing the Convertible Top -Which Brush?

In reading posts on how to clean and car for the convertible top, many people recommend a soft brush. Do you use a brush for washing your top? If so, do you prefer a boar's hair or a horse hair brush, and why? Do you have another product that you use instead?

Horse hair brush is what I use when brushing the soft top. I don't think there is much differences in both boar and horse brushes since the main purpose is to breakdown dirt before rinsing without being too harsh on the top.

As to why I stuck with the horsehair brush, because Raggtop pack.

Either of those will work, the boars hair is slightly coarser. I've started using a soft nylon nail brush with short bristles which works extremely well in combination with a quality car soap.

I purchased the Raggtop brush. I believe its horse hair. works well and doesn't seem too harsh on top. I love it.

Whatever you use it will all be for naught if you don't rinse all the soap off after you wash it.
