Wash&Wax Advice for Suzuka Blue Daily Driver
Looking for some advice. I've done numerous searches on the board and I'm still unsure of which method I should go about to wash/wax my '02 Suzuka Blue daily driver. Since the car's a daily driver it is parked outside at times and living in Northern Virginia it's a 4 season climate.
There's obviously the Zaino option, but I'd like to consider all the alternatives before deciding I spend a lot of time on any method.
I was considering one of the following:
1) Zaino system ~ $100
2) dawn wash, mother's clay bar, eagle 1 wash, polish (not sure what type of polish is good), 1st coat of wax w/ NXT and 2nd layer of wax w/ carnuba ~ $65
3) dawn wash, mother's clay bar, wash, polish Klasse AIO, wax a layer of NXT and another layer of S100 ~$75
Opinions and feedback for any of the above methods would be appreciated.
I know many of you guys swear by Zaino, and at about $100, it seems very expensive and time consuming and I'm not quite sure how long or how many applications you get out of the bottles of product. I guess I'm looking for best bang for the buck here as well as ease of use. I'd personally rather be out riding/driving than washing or waxing.
Thanks,
Stephen

nxt lasts the least amount of time of your choices.
zaino and klasse are both good choices.
based on your post, sounds to me like this might be a klasse solution.
whatever you get, be sure to get a good weather car cover if she has to live outside!

I've had very good luck with 3M Paste Wax on my Flamenco Black Civic. I have yet to wax my Suzuka Blue S2000 since I just got it a couple weeks ago.

I have a Suzuka Blue Daily Here is what I like:
1) Wash (not ith dawn ... just a good car wash). I like NXT and QEW when the weather is foul
2) Clay --- Clay Magic is good and relatively inexpensive
3) Optional as necessary - De-Swirls I use Meguiars #83 DCAP followed by #80. This is involved so let me know if you want details
4) Vanilla Moose- Typically I don't do step 3. I use vanilla Moose as most people use AIO
5) LSP. I like 4*UPP, Poorboy's EXP or Wolfgang. I am going to try zaino again now that z2 pro is out but I just di not like how long it took to dry here in humid Louisiana
For the top, I use Raggtopp. 303 or Vinylex is good too but I like Raggtopp better because it runs musch less on the car
For the interior I use Woolite 6:1, Woolite:Water solution as a cleaner. Poor boy's Nartural look on the vinyl and a little known product called Tanner's Preserve on the Leather. Both leave a very nice matte finish
Hopes this helps.

I too am a fan of Zaino products and the ease of application. The trick is to use what looks like not enough. I can easily do three coats of Z2 and a top coat of Z6 in under two hours. The buffing is as easy as wiping, especially the first coat or two because you will just reapply more Z2 over the freshly buffed out coat.
Your final Z2 buffing stage is still easy because the Z6 finish coat takes care of any Z2 wax haze or excess application, and you lightly buff with a microfiber towel for a flawless finish.
Isn't Suzuka Blue the best? My 02 is still a head turner.
