Sounds like an awesome event. I always miss the big events in the SE like the Dragon runs and SESM because I'm always busy working on weekends. Mikey, keep us updated on that book you're doing; I'd like a copy!

What should I include in my cleaning kit,to get the car back in shape, after a 500 miles trip.???
*wash mitt-I'm not sure if we'll be having mitts or sponges there. So, to be safe you might want to bring your own mitt.
*waffle weave drying towel-we'll have Absorbers on hand. So, if you prefer to dry with a WW towel then I suggest you bring your own.
*tire dressing-sorry you'll have to bring your own.
*wheel brushes-sorry you'll have to bring your own.
*bug & tar remover-sorry you'll have to bring your own.
*wax/sealant-sorry you'll have to bring your own.
I think you should be able to get your car looking good with this small list of items. You don't really need wheel cleaner or window cleaner, because IMO car wash does a good job cleaning those areas. You'll probably have a lot of bugs & tar from your long drive. So, be sure to bring some B&T remover and some wax/sealant to touch up those areas.
On a side note, the detailing guide is 100% done. I've asked g-s2k to review it and let me know if anything is missing or there are any misspellings.
After the Nor'Easter I'll make it available to anyone who wants a copy. g-s2k showed me a website which you can host files on. It provides a link you can give out so that other people can download the file.
