I agree some of the inexpensive stuff out there works very well and to most people will look great but there is a difference in the high-end stuff.

When I had my WRX I always kept it clean and waxed and stuff but it was never perfect. Ended up getting a porter cable and some good detailing supplies and it was like new paint when I was finished. I couldn't believe just how deep my blue paint was. Even my mom noticed a difference which goes to say a lot for how much it really helped.

OTC products can only do so much. Ive used the black box a few times and while it does make the car look better all you are doing is covering the actual problem up. Tons of black filling agents. Car will look good for about a week or so and/or 2-3 washes and will be returned to its actual state after.

Very good temporary results. Perhaps perfect for before shows / events / etc.

There's no replacing a properly polished surface as you won't be hiding the defects; you'll be removing them.
If you don't like Phil's products - that's fine; don't purchase them. What is overpriced depends on the user, and IMHO, Phil sells a lot of really good stuff.

Nice range of professional style products and multiple brands which gives a wide range of pricing for various items.

Take into account luxury waxes won't give you much of a look difference if your car isnt prepped correctly for them.

Just used this and must say that it turned out pretty good. I'm gonna have to continue using this until I can get my PC.

Used it with my PC and it turned out fantastic. Took me about 2 hours start to finish including car wash.

Regarding the vendor comment - Collinite 845 is inexpensive but I find it superior to most LSP out there - in fact it's my favorite. This is a product that Phil uses and sells. Some may think Menzerna is pricey (for example) but for the results the products produce, the price is easily justified.

Can anyone comment on the Eagle 1 Easi-Dri soap? from this review it looks pretty good but does having soap that have these chemical that prevent any water spots have any negative effects?
