Top Treatment???
What do you use to condition/clean your convertible top? What's the best thing to do to keep it as black as possible?
-Thanks in Advance

several threads on this...
but-
i use either 303 or vinylex
wash top, dry it, soak a rag (spray away from the car) and rub it in all over the top... then i detail the rest of the car and as a last step i buff it out twice (with two separate rags) to keep the product from running onto the car in case of rain.
dont forget the rear window- if plastic, plexus.... if glass a good glass cleaner.
btw, the best way to keep it black and clean is to do the above then leave it down under the boot (which is also what i do- my top is almost 4 years old and looks brand new).

I use Wolfteins Raggtopp.
I have used Vinylex and 303 but was not successful un keeping it fom running on the car after a rain. I have had a lot more sucess in this area with Raggtop.
All three are good and will keep the top in good condition

Well i cleaned my top for the first time in (um gulp) 3yrs. I never thought it would look like new agian but now it looks Better. I hosed the top down and sprayed the 303 cleaner on. worked it in with this http://www.properautocare.com/contopscrubb.html to get all the dirt out hosed it of real good and then i let the top dry. I then used the 303 protectant which i just applied with an applicator pad and let dry. All i can say is WoW this stuff works great all the dirt is out and my top is a dark rich deep glossy black (think after you use vinylex or whatever you use to clean your dash) know more sand pebbles stuck in the pores and my top no longer looks tan and black it looks better than when I first picked up my S. Now I plan on cleaning it like this every 30-45 days like the directions on the 303 states. 303 gets my vote

You don't need to get it locally. there are plenty of reputable detailers selling products on line.
Check out this link for a list of stores used by members / conttributors of this board:

Two other things:
1) I urge you to try Wolfsteins Raggtopp.
2) If you want 303, Call around to some local spa shops. I saw (but can not find at my finger tips) a spa shop that sold 303 for abot $20 / gal less the the auto detail sites. 303 is marketed as a spa cover protectant in these shops.

Alright I'll check some other places, but I don't really want to order it online it's a pain for me (I'm in Canada) shipping is really expensive for us.
I'd rather find something I can replenish with a drive to a local shop.
