Default Top care

I tried the search with no luck so I will ask. I just got a 2001 S2K and the top is a little faded. I would like bring it back to its glory and looking for suggestion on cleaning and maintaining a great looking top.

Open for your suggestions.

here you go... all you wanted to know about products for your top:

http://properautocare.com/besprodforvi1.html

my personal preference would be to use any shampoo (i recently used porsche top cleaner) and then either 303 or vinylex for the preservative. my top is never up, so it only needs to be treated every year or so...

I prefer to use the Porsche Cabriolet stuff.. I found it cleans and conditions better than the 303 stuff. Especially if you have residual bird poo stains

Wash your top as you do the rest of your car. When the top is completely dry(next day) spray it with 303 Aerospace Protectant, and let it sit for like an hour. Then come back and wipe up the excess. Your top will be dark black and be uv protected.

A lion's share of S2000 owners use 303 and/or its kit... http://www.sportscarcare.com/scc/product.a...?ItemID=303-vtk

I bought the 303 Cleaner and Protectant package from properautocare. Is there really a time when you need the cleaner? Cuz one would clean the top as they would the rest of the with mitt and soap. When do you ever need the bristle scrubbing brush?
