Default Took care of business with the 7424

I recently had bought the Porter Cable 7424 kit from Detailers Domain and last weekend I went ahead and used it. The Kit came with the following:

1 Porter Cable 7424 Variable Speed Polisher
1 Backing plate for PC
1 32 oz. Menzerna Super Intensive Polish PO 83
1 32 oz. Menzerna Nano Polish PO 106 FA
1 32 oz. Menzerna Finishing Glaze PO 115C
1 Einszett Glanz (for your last step)
1 CCS Orange 5.5 Inch Light Cutting Foam Pad
1 CCS White 5.5 Inch Polishing Foam Pad
1 CCS Blue 5.5 Inch Finessing Foam Pad
1 CCS Red 5.5 Inch UltraSoft Wax/Sealant Foam Pad
2 Uber MF Towels (Blue 16x24)

Here is a Pic of the Condition of the paint before. Pictures aren't that great since my camera is just the cell phone camera. My nicer one was on the dash and fell out of the car when i went around a corner.

From that distance it doesn't look that bad, but when you get closer and look at it it needed some work. Here is a picture of the hood. It shows that it needed some work.

Now onto my process. I started out using a white pad with Menzerna Nano Polish PO 106 FA first. It didn't do enough so i switched to an Orange Pad with Menzerna Super Intensive Polish PO 83. After I did the whole car with that, I used a blue pad with the Menzerna Finishing Glaze PO 115C. Then I finished off with using a red pad with the Einszett Glanz.

Here is a pic of the hood after I was done.

And here is a few from a distance.

Let me know what you all think. Also if anyone was thinking about getting one of these machines then I highly recommend getting the kit I got. Up here in Alaska it is hard to find quality products locally and so I had never used any of the menzerna stuff, but since I tried it now I have decided it is worth the shipping and wait time to get it. I absolutely love how easy it is to use and am very happy with the results. Take Care everyone!!!

It really is my cell phone camera. It is a Motorola Rocker or something like that. I just got it because it was 50 bux instead of 500. I admit is does take decent pictures, but i still miss my cannon elph 7 megapixel wonder. I was so bummed when it fell out of my car. Thats the only time i have ever regretted going top down. Lol

Very nice job.

Especially for your first-time with the machine. I need to take the plunge.

I've been using the Porter Cable 7424 buffer for a few years now and I couldn't imagine not having it.

Definitely worth the money to those thinking about getting it.

Nice work to the original poster.

Phil has defiantly got himself a return customer because I love the Menzerna stuff I used. It was leaps and bounds above anything else I have ever used. Also thanks for the comments. I know I am proud of my work.
