Default tire shine product...

hey,
i was just wondering if anybody has any suggestions of a good tire shine product?
when i clean all the family cars, the body and interior all look good.. then the tires kind of throw off the whole cleanlyness... just too dull, any good products anyone uses? one that is safe to use (i.e. wont take off any wax or anything if by accident gets on the body and is by chance not cleaned up..) and also is it a good idea to use any tire shine? i have heard some stories of people using product on the tires, then its "slippery" when they drive, meaning unsafe...
i just use tire bleach product for the tires right now, and am looking to make it all look more pleasing

thanks for your help,

I have not tried the Poorboys but have tried lots of products in this category and my top three picks are:
1. Tire Treat (Sorry they do not make this one anymore)
2. Looks Wet No Mess- (Web address below)
3. Detailers Pride- Emerald Tire Gel (Web address below)

Also if you live on a gravel road use Forever Black Tire Gel on the edges of your tires because it is a black dye and stays on longer for your edges!

I have tried a bunch over the years as well, but have been hooked on 303 Aerospace Protectant for the last couple of years. It maintains its shine, and will not sling off. It also protects the rubber from fading. The only downside is that it is a little pricey - I wind up buying the gallon refill off of an Ebay seller:

Currently I'm using Meguiar's Endurance, which i find works well for maintaining its shine. I've never tried using my 303 on the Tires, I'll have to give that a go sometime.

great ideas above...
the meguiars product is very nice- great smell and lasts. the only caution with it or any other gel is be sure to get all excess off of the tire or it can mess up the paint.
sonus and zymol are a couple other ones that i like...
i have been using a lot more 303 on the tires lately than anything else- prob cause i can use it on other parts (i especially like it under the hood).

I remember trying the Endurance Gel when it first came out on our first S (GPW), and I must not have removed the excess because it slung onto the painted portion of the rear wheel wells and left brown spots that I was never able to remove. I was so bummed...! So definitely make sure the excess is removed.

I also like to use the 303 on the wheel well.

303 on mine - If I recall correctly you have to be careful with tyre dressings as if you have a tyre failure (not a puncture) the tyre manufacturer will not even look at the tyre if is has had a dressing on it with large amounts/any silicone in it. This breaks down the wall of the tyre and can cause failure. I have chucked out all my other dressings and now only use 303

How does the Zaino tire treatment compare to the others mentioned above?

I've had good luck with this product. Even with the rain in Seattle it still shines after a week. It's nice because you don't have to wipe anything off. Just spray on and that's it. It's aerosol so it doesn't run like the foams or ones that come in a spray bottles.

I've tried this one recently and it seems to last just as long as the Blue Magic product.
