Question Tire Foam Discolors Driveway

After moving into a new house I was dismayed to find that the spray-on tire foams seem to have discolored parts of my driveway. There is no question that it is from tire foam since the stains are right where the tires are when the car is washed. I never had this problem before at my other house, however, that was a different driveway material and different climate.

The stains make it look like someone spilled white paint on the driveway (which is concrete) or bleach.

Anyone know, short of having a new driveway poured, if there is a way to correct this?

the same stuff that you should not use on your engine (acid based engine cleaner) should do it...
before that i think i would try a citrus degreaser though-
i know that the acid based engine cleaners work on most driveway stains- and i have another driveway cleaner that works too, but am blanking on the name- if it comes to me i will post it here.
as with any product, test a little on the edge of your driveway first to make sure that it does not harm the driveway or make the problem worse before you do the whole thing!

btw, if its doing that to your driveway- just imagine what it is doing to your tires and rims (if you have any overspray)!
which product is this?

You can also try concrete cleaner/etcher. Products are used to prep concrete for painitng but I have used them to remove mildew from brick and concrete.

If you can post the name of the stuff I should try, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

I don't recall which foam this was. I switched to a different one. It was something I picked up at Walmart or Target.

Goto to the paint/staining section of Home Depot or Lowe's. You will find the concrete cleaner next to the concrete paint. I used Behr's. Depending on how large of an area you need to clean, you may want to pick up a cheap pump sprayer ($10).
