Tire Dressing (tire shine) bad for the tires?
The guy at the tire shop told me tire shiners, eventually
crack the tire, and make it dried out,
true?
thanks

most tire dressings today will not dry out the rubber.
this was an issue with early rubber products- they contained silicones or similar products and they could dry out rubber after awhile. dry rubber eventually cracks.
its not the silicone that causes the drying, but usually silicone contains petroleum distilates as cleaning agents. those are the culprits that cause drying.
so read your product label...
