Default TIP: Distilled Water for Detailing

After washing and drying my car, I spray distilled water on to microfiber towel and wipe down the car. Works great for wiping off water spots and better than windex on windows. Use only after a car wash.

Exact reason why I spray my cars down with QD while drying.

^yup, that's what I do too. Helps make sure you don't have any streaks left over from drying. Plus most leave some very slightly level of protection.

Buy a electric leaf blower and the most you will need to dry your car is one microfiber towel. I can dry my entire car in less than ten minutes, streak free and only have to use a small towel to dab up one or two drips.

Leaf blowing eliminates one pass over the car where you are rubbing on the paint.

^I've been doing that for years too. Works incredibly well and gets it out of all the annoying spots too. Depends on car color too. Darker colors I find came out best doing some kind of quick wipe down afterwards. White, Sebring, Silverstone can get away with the most.

we usually use IPA with distilled water after compounding and polishing to make sure theres no fillers, that are hiding swirls and scratches

For the utility of distilled water. I have an unlimited supply in the research I work in, so I fill up my portable sprayer and spray the car down after a wash. Really no need to dry.
