Is there ANY way to remove swirls

I went thru this same thing. I didn't want to spend the money on a PC and wanted to polish by hand. Let me tell you what I did...
I BOUGHT A PC
Seriously, just bite the bullet and get one. You'll have it for years to come and can take care of all of the cars you might have as well as make friends by helping others out.
Furthermore, you don't have to spend $160. I got mine on Ebay for $90 then spent another $40 or so on 2 edge double sided pads (orange/green and blue/white) and then the edge adaptor. And Autogeek is running a 15% off sale and Im sure others are having sales too, so you can probably get a lot of the stuff pretty cheap.

I'm considering buying swirl remover products, but I don't really want to spend about $160 for PC 7424 because only the hood has some swirls and I don't think I'll have much time to use PC 7424 in future. Is there anyway to remove swirls without using machines? Any info would be appreciated.

I've done all the swirl removing by hand as well, then used the PC, then someone stole the PC out of my garage so I'm back to doing it by hand. If you really only need to clean up swirls from a few spots, I'd recommend 3M Perfect-It II Foam Polishing Pad Glaze for dark cars. It's the only product that I've used that works. Scratch-X is not effective at all imo and it's just like any other generic scratch remover out there. Just make sure you use a good foam pad and just wipe the product on until it hazes and keep buffing at it until the product mostly dusts up and disappears. Worked well for the berlina black S2k I had before I got this one.
