Default Swirl removal and wax

Well, the weather broke here in the NE. About 60* all day. A little wind, but still perfect day for detailing. When I bought my 02', it had been well maintained in every aspect except the paint. I am sure the previous owner cleaned it and kept it waxed, but it was full of swirls none the less. Anyway, I didn't get to do a 100% detai, today, I just wanted to remove the swirls and get some wax on there. I am going to do another coat of wax and the other things like wheels/wells, glass, etc next week. Here's what I got:

Products used:

Optimum car wash
Pinacle clay and lube
Pinacle XMT 3 with Edge2000 yellow pad
Pinacle XMT 1 with Edge2000 green pad
Pinacle liquid souveran wax applied with whit Edge pad
all removal of product using Cobra MF towels

Before (swirls):

After:

Thanks for all the comments! It would have looked 100 x better if I had a chance to do the rest especialy the wheel wells, but as it is, I started at 9am and finished at 5PM. I was gonna keep going, but I had to go into work at 6 for a few hours and I almost forgot!!! I was in the zone

MikeyC:

I loved the products! Thanks for helping me select them and recomending the edge pads. The XMT stuff is easy to work and good for a beginer like me. I must say though, after doing the first step (XMT 3 and yellow pad), I was discouraged to say the least. Sure, the major swirls were gone, but everything was hazy. Plus, the XMT3 took alot longer to work than I thought.

But, I buckled down and went for the XMT1 and green pad. It was so much easier to work and went alot faster! Once I started seeing the paint after that step I was on fire and it went smooth.

Also, the pad conditioner was a big help. I couldn't imagine doing it without!
