Swirl Removal Question for Wanabe and Boiler
Guys,
I just got my accessories from properautocare and tried out the Porter Cable and 3M Swirl Remover today. Do you 3M the entire car with the machine then polish off or do you do the car in sections? The trunk and the sides were okay but the hood was a major PITA. The 3M dried and the PC would not remove it. I had to muscle it out by hand. Did I put too much? Also how many times do you have to reapply 3M to the pad if you do just the hood? The car looks good but in direct sunlight at certain angles I can still see swirls?
Thanks for the help.

3m SMR has what they call diminishing abrasives. the more you work the compound the finer the polish gets. you should not stop until the shine has come back through. ie its like you have 500 sandpaper that turns to 1000 to 2000 while you are using it
