Default Suzuka Blue w/ Zymol concours.....

Well, I figured it was time that I earned my wash/wax badge so i decided to post up my latest pics of the car as well as my process used. It was a long one, so here we go:

Washed/dried vehicle w/ Optimum car wash
Clayed w/ Pinnacle's new ultra polyclay
Menzerna FPII w/ white LC pad via PC @ speed 5
Red Moose Glaze w/ black LC pad via PC @ speed 4
Werkstatt Prime w/ Carnuba applied w/ PC @ speed 4 w/ finishing pad
Werkstatt Acrylic Jett trigger x2
A few days later applied Pinnacle Souveran paste by hand
A few days after that applied Natty's blue paste by hand

Now the car looked great, and looked amazing until the Zymol Concours estate glaze showed up So being that I absolutely had to get some of this on the car, and do so the right way, I stripped all the wax off the car to lay this down fresh. So my next process was:

Clay hood and trunk lid(had a bit of contamination)
Vanilla Moose Glaze to entire car by hand w/ foam applicator(very impressed w/ ease of use!)
2 coats of Zymol Concours by hand spaced a few days apart

I was honestly blown away that just 2 coats of the Concours blew away the previous combination that was layered on the car. Concours is now reserved as an exclusive wax for just the S2K Well, enough of the rambling here are a few pics:

Nice Pics! Love that photo with the reflection of the water on the side of the car - shows just how reflective the finish is.

Yeah, but he's really got to do something about the orange peel in the driveway surface

Looks amazing. I know how hard it is to capture the wetness on a relatively light color such as Suzuka, but I think that just goes to show HOW GOOD this looks in person. On a black car, for example, if the paint is simply clean and polished it will show up as deep and wet in photos.

I'm going to wait until next weekend to throw another coat of concours on my silverstone, but I've already noticed a couple of things:

- It looks wicked nice
- It SEEMS (oddly enough) to not pick up ANYWHERE NEAR as much road dust as anything else I've ever used on my car... I drove about 100 miles yesterday on "country" back roads, just tearing it up and having a good time with the wife and while the wheels definitely need a wipe down now, the car barely had any dust on it, even right behind the wheels.

I guess having used Zymol for several years now I've kind of grown accustomed to my paint not picking up much dust/dirt. Since I recently detailed my car and put a sealant under the Zymol I've noticed it's picking up tons of dust and pollen.
