Some final pics and comments.
Got back to work this morning and had to hunt down our test bumper. Storms and high winds blew it off the wall last night. I found it about 200 yards away, somewhat scuffed up but the protected area remained protected.
Lifted a corner off the spray on bra and it peeled off cleanly. So far this product has performed as they say. The can recommends a thickness of 1/8" for full protection, but I feel less would suffice. I'd estimate my test was more like 1/32 to 1/16" in thickness. Certainly not 1/8". I can't imagine how many coats would be required to build up that much; probably 10-15 coats. More than is necessary I feel.
A pic to show how ugly this stuff is while still wet. It does dry quickly.
Temporary bra peeled off as advertised with no sustained damage from the rock throwing.
The peeled material is like a sheet of rubber. Easy to cut; hard to tear.
Bottom line. I would use this on my car with no fear of damage to the finish. Personally, I would prefer a conventional, high quality bra that I would install and remove for road trips or track days, but this Spray On Bra seems to perform as advertised.

I test a product, I don't screw around.
Yes. Although this was the first I've heard of it, John posted that it is readily available from sources other than Griot's. Even Walmart.

3M Clear Bra
Here ya go, right from 3M's site. You can also do a google search using the term "3M clear bra" to find sites that sell it.

I don't think the 3M "Clearbra" is the same as the "Spray-On Bra". The Clearbra is a sticky film that is like tape and is put onto the painted surface on a more permanent basis. I couldn't find any Spray-On Bra on that 3M site. I don't think 3M markets it. It's sold through indirect channels.
The 3M Scotchcal film is marketed Clearbra, Xpel, Invisibra, etc.
