Spots on RIM clearcoat. Any suggestions?
Recently aquired a set of rims and after some initial cleanup, noticed there are some water spots on the clear coat of the lip. Tried Mother's polish (before I discovered they were clear coated) then tried wax, clear coat scrub, plastic lense polish and nothing seems to work...
Anyone else expereince this? I think the spots are in the clear coat and not "on" the clear coat....
Thanks in advance..

Try claying them first. If that doesn't work, try some Never-Dull or 1Z chrome polish.
Then use a dedicated wheel sealant like Swissvax Autobahn or Smartwax Rimwax. Will make them easier to clean and help repel some of the nasty brake dust.
